Abraham Machuca was arraigned today in Monday?s stabbing in Stratford.
Stratford police say Machuca, 21, repeatedly stabbed William Font with a pocket knife inside 18-year-old Ganimete Kameraj's house on Monday afternoon on Holmes Street.
Machuca is accused of attempted murder and is being held on $750,000 bond.
Kameraj's family says that Machuca showed up at the house with flowers on what would have been their anniversary in an attempt to get back together. Instead, he found Font in her bedroom and they claim Font pulled out the knife.
Stratford police say Machuca was charged based on evidence and that any claims of self-defense will have to be proven in court.
