A group of Trumbull residents have been collecting hundreds of donated goods for victims of Sandy.

A week ago, Niki Tucci and a group of friends created a Facebook page called, "Connecticut Cares: Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund."

In one day, Tucci says she had close to 1,000 followers wanting to help.

Tucci is using her own home as a drop-off point for anything from blankets, to clothes, food and water.

Her plan is to bring the items to Sandy-ravaged Breezy Point, Queens next week.
