Trumbull residents celebrated the first night of Hanukkah Thursday with a Menorah lighting outside of Town Hall.
First Selectman Vicki Tesoro highlighted peace during the event.
“It's even more important that we all come together to support each other and certainly that's what we are doing here tonight,” she said. “We stand in solidarity with the people of Israel, and we are all here to talk about peace, in Israel and in Palestine as well."
The Jewish celebration last for eight days and ends on Dec. 15 this year.
