A Woodbridge man who has lived a life in service celebrated his 103rd birthday Monday.
Elected officials and community members were with Howard Rohloff as he marked the occasion. Rohloff served in both the Army and Air Force during World War II and he continued to serve the community after the war.
Rohloff's son says his positive mindset carried him through the work.
"Things didn't bother him. He always saw the good or the positive. It used to amaze me, when things used to go wrong, he always saw the good or the positive. He always had a positive attitude," said Robert Rohloff.
Howard Rohloff lived in North Haven for more than 60 years before moving to Woodbridge.
