An alleged shooting at an apartment complex Tuesday led to a chase through the Stamford train station and eventually to a bus station.
Authorities say a neighbor in the Woodside Green Apartments on Summer Street heard gunshots around a gazebo and called police. Another person called police and gave them a description of the suspect?s vehicle.
?The cops picked up the vehicle on Washington Boulevard. There was a brief pursuit,? Lt. Nick Montagnese, of the Stamford Police Department, said. ?The man jumped out of the car and ran. He was tackled and apprehended. One handgun was found on him.?
Part of the foot chase was through the Stamford train station. The suspect was caught at the Stamford bus station.
Police have not yet released the suspect?s name or motive for the alleged shooting.
This is the second time in less than two weeks police have responded to a gun-related incident at the apartment complex. Two teens were recently accused of keeping an arsenal of weapons in one of the apartments.
