Business owners along White Plains Road in Morris Park say they are losing customers because of broken meters.
They say it is an ongoing problem, and it's hurting their bottom line.
Diner owner George Arsenic says his patrons spend more time eyeing the clock instead of enjoying their meals.
"You are not eating properly because you are worried about getting a ticket," he says.
Residents say that they try to put money in the machines, but nothing happens. They say one thing is for sure - if they are parked in a spot that isn't paid up, there will definitely be a visit from a traffic agent.
News 12 The Bronx assessed that residents have to pass 11 storefronts on one area of the street to get to the nearest meter that is working.
