Caught on camera: Woman drives away with paralyzed man’s dog
A paralyzed Bridgeport man says he's heartbroken after a woman was captured on camera stealing his dog.
Surveillance video of the incident shows a woman scooping the dog up and driving away in a light-colored sedan around 3 p.m. Saturday. The incident occurred after the dog got loose from his house.
Frank Casanovas, 55, says “Princess” is trained to alert him when he goes into respiratory distress and once saved his life by doing so.
He and his family have been posting flyers around the neighborhood and pleading for the animal's safe return.
"Please, if anybody sees my dog, please return my dog. I really miss my dog,” Casanovas told News 12.
Princess is an 8-year-old rat terrier.
