Community rallies around Trumbull nurse battling pancreatic cancer

Connecticut leaders came together in Trumbull Saturday to show support for a Bridgeport nurse who's fighting for her life.
Karen Marlin, 52, has been an operating room nurse at Bridgeport Hospital since 1983, but she has put her career on hold as she battles inoperable pancreatic cancer.
Dignitaries filled the single mother's home in support of a fundraiser for Marlin's three children.
Among those in attendance were Trumbull Police Chief Michael Lombardo and First Selectwoman Vicki Tesoro.
Despite the worries for her family, Marlin showed gratitude for the love and support expressed from the community.
There will be a benefit dinner to support the Marlin family at the Vazzy's Four Seasons in Stratford on March 2 from 6 to 11 p.m.
Those looking to donate can call Isabel Perez at (203) 816-7398, Gina Malheiro at (203) 260-4697 or Barbara Rudini at (203) 521-7957.
