Local farms and racetracks may seem a boom of new business with the legalization of sports betting.

Holly Harris has owned a Colts Neck farm for six years. Harris says sports betting is giving her a reason to remain in the Garden State.

“I've watched friends pack up and move to other states and not come back,” she said. “I want to stay in Jersey.”

Harris tells News 12 she was receiving calls just hours after the landmark Supreme Court decision on sports betting.

Illinois-native Tony Alagna says he left Illinois due to the sports struggle but is now filled with hope.

"This helps bring people back to the racetrack," he said. "Because now people have to go to the racetrack to bet on a sports game."

Both Alagna and Harris say they've had to tighten their budgets over the years but are hopeful that sports betting will improve their situations.
