The biological father of the three girls killed in the Stamford Christmas house fire has filed paperwork that may lead to a wrongful death lawsuit against the home's contractor. Matthew Badger is allegedly attempting to become the administrator of his daughters' estate. His attorney says Michael Borcina, the contractor and boyfriend of Badger's ex-wife, was negligent in the incident. He claims Borcina placed fireplace embers in the trash can, unintentionally setting the house ablaze. Badger says he has not made any decisions about the lawsuit, but that he will not file one against the girls' mother, Madonna Badger.
