Landscapers in the area say business is booming as residents get ready for a socially distant summer.
Chris Reed says he started Reed's Landscaping back in 2001 with nothing but a truck and a lawnmower.
Now his crews are busy all over Fairfield County, tackling mulching, trimming and planting as well as heavy-duty tree removal.
Reed says while the landscaping business is in bloom right now, setting prices on tree and limb work is more competitive than ever.
He says for customers, more time at home means more time to shop around.
Reed says if you are hiring a tree service, it is important to make sure they carry insurance and workers' comp to protect you from costly damages.
