A local family from Norwalk says they're grateful to some area businesses for helping with a major construction project after some tragic circumstances.
Lauren Butler, an expectant mother in Norwalk, suddenly lost her husband John to a heart attack last month as they were beginning to put a new roof on their home.
In an effort to help the Butler family, Rick's Main Roofing offered to pick up the labor costs, while GAF and New Castle Building Products provided the materials to fix the roof.
The local businesses are finishing the roof, and the family says they are very touched by the gesture.
A GoFundMe page called "Baby Butler Legacy" has been set up.
Lauren Butler says she is expecting her first child Oct. 4.
