A Waterbury man was seriously injuried following a three-car crash in Torrington.
The incident happened Wednesday on East Main Street near Pineridge Road around 9 p.m.
Police say the driver of a Volkswagen Beetle was traveling west on East Main Street when they crashed into a Mercedes.
The driver of the Mercedes was stopped to make a left hand turn into a gas station.
Police say the impact caused the driver of the Mercedes to collide with a Jeep that had been traveling east on East Main Street.
The driver of the Beetle, a 56-year-old man from Waterbury, was flown to Hartford Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police say.
The driver of the Mercedes and the driver of the Jeep were also taken to the hospital, but are expected to be OK.
