The Norwalk 16-year-old accused in the fatal stabbing of his friend faced a judge Tuesday.
Authorities had been searching for Amos Brown Jr. in connection with the death of 17-year-old Tykwan Hunt and issued an arrest warrant for him Friday. Police say he turned himself in to authorities Monday morning. Hunt?s mother says Brown and her son were childhood friends.
Hunt was found stabbed to death in a McDonald?s parking lot in Norwalk last month. His body was found hours after police responded to a fight at a nearby house party.
Brown?s attorney says his client is innocent and requested that Brown, who is facing murder charges, remain in jail for his safety. The judge moved Brown?s case to a Stamford court. He is due to enter a plea on Feb. 26.
Meanwhile, Norwalk investigators say the house party led to several stabbings that night, including Hunt?s. Police were able to arrest Corey Young, 20, in connection with another stabbing at the party. An arrest warrant was issued for Young in January. Police found him in Bridgeport Tuesday morning. He is facing arraignment at the end of the month.
