Bridgeport police released surveillance images Friday of the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that left a man in critical condition 10 days ago.
Police say 52-year-old Felix Rivera was walking home from work when he was struck in the head and thrown in the air by a female hit-and-run driver in a 2008 burgundy Chevy Trailblazer. They say the incident happened at the 600 block of North Avenue in Bridgeport.
Rivera is currently recovering at Yale New Haven Hospital. His family says it is still not clear if he will ever walk again.
The grille of the vehicle was left behind at the scene. Investigators say they now have surveillance images of the SUV that caused the accident.
Police say they hope someone will recognize the SUV in the images so investigators can identify the driver.
