Stamford police are searching for two men who ran from the scene of a chase that resulted in a gun and drug bust.
Police say narcotics officers pulled over a rental car from North Carolina on a tip Saturday.
They say as officers got out, the car sped off, hitting an unmarked police car and eventually crashing into another car on I-95 between exits 8 and 9.
"We're lucky that nobody was hurt," says Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police Department.
Officers say five people in the car ran off in different directions after they crashed. Police were able to catch Brittany Cosby, of Bridgeport, Jarvis Lewis and Dejuan Sloan, both of North Carolina.
Police say inside the car they found two guns and backpacks filled with methamphetamine and codeine hidden in baby bottles.
They say they are checking the car's rental records and pulling DNA and fingerprints to track down the other two suspects.
