Wilton school officials say Miller-Driscoll School was temporarily placed on lockdown Tuesday morning following a report of an intruder inside the building.
However, they say that a man seen quickly walking through the hallway was actually a district staff member.
They say that the staff member who made the report did not recognize the faculty member because he was wearing a windbreaker that covered his ID badge.
The lockdown was called off once school officials determined the man to be a staff member.
Parents says that despite the uncertainty of the situation at the time, they were happy that the school played it safe.
