The Norwalk Police Department announced today that one of its retired K-9s has died.
The department says Nomak lost his battle from a disease involving his spinal cord yesterday.
Over his six years of service, police say Nomak was responsible for several drug busts and for arresting a knife-wielding suspect.
He lived out his retirement with his handler.
