A retiree who gives lectures to others about life after retirement recently stopped by the Fairfield Library.
Michael Amoroso presented "Creating Yourself in Retirement-The Emotional Aspect." He says retirement is a journey toward some kind of closure and that socialization can add years to your life.
"Somebody gives us 40 to 50 hours and says thus you're retired, and now it's up to you and you have to be proactive," says Amoroso. "So a lot of people just aren't prepared to be proactive."
Amoroso says the key to life is keeping busy in a positive way.
