FAA officials say a small plane crash landed at Sikorsky Airport in Stratford at around 7:00 a.m. Friday.

According to the FAA, the plane's pilot overshot the runway and hit a fence. The single-engine Pilatus PC-12 aircraft came to rest upright on an embankment near Main Street.

The plane?s turbo prop pierced through a metal fence which mangled the propeller and tore off a section of the left wing. Airport manager John Ricci adds that this force slashed open a fuel tank that spilled fuel onto the pavement.

An FAA spokesperson says there were seven people on the plane, including two crew members. There are no reports of anyone being hurt.

FAA spokesman Jim Peters says the plane is registered to Difly Inc. of Portsmouth, N.H.
