Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport held a community-wide "Blessing of the Animals" ceremony on its lawn, welcoming pets of all kinds this weekend.

The interfaith event, open to all community members, celebrated the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals.

Cats, dogs, horses, pigs, and other beloved pets gathered for blessings from Trinity clergy.
