Connecticut State Police says they have captured a suspect in Fairfield after a carjacking that started in Hamden.
News 12 was on the scene around 3:30 a.m. after hearing reports that the suspect got out of his car at Exit 46 on the southbound side of the Merritt Parkway.
Bridgeport police were on the scene as well, and a K-9 unit was used to search for the suspect. 
The off ramp on the southbound side is now open.
