Police: 74-year-old man found fatally shot inside Dix Hills home

Police say a 74-year-old man was found fatally shot inside his Dix Hills home.
Armindo Reis lived alone in his Penn Drive home.
Investigators say he was last seen alive Monday morning. His body was found around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday on the floor of his house and with a gunshot wound to the head. He was discovered by his son, a friend and a neighbor who were out looking for him.
There's no word on a possible motive or suspect, but police say they don't think the shooting was random. They also say there were no signs of forced entry into the home.
Reis is a retired contractor who lived in the neighborhood for about 30 years.
Neighbor Leon Kweit says he saw a suspicious person at the house around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, roughly a few hours before Reis was found. He called Reis a good neighbor.
