A threat prompted an immediate lockdown of schools in Port Chester today. Rye Brook police issued an all-clear, and the lockdown is no longer in effect.
The threat originated at Port Chester Middle School, leading to all schools being placed in lockdown as a precautionary measure.
The police chief said a 12-year-old student made an anonymous treat to the school in a call placed to state police. No charges have been filed.
Police assure that everyone is safe, and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
