Truck drivers who've helped keep businesses rolling through Connecticut during the pandemic received a special delivery in Milford on Wednesday.
Volunteers from TFC Global stopped by the rest area on I-95 to hand out care packages to the drivers.
Organizer Howard Knapp says the faith-based organization is dedicated to helping the "heroes of the highway."
"Basically, I want to make sure that the drivers realize that we thank them for all the work they are doing during the pandemic, and also to be away from their homes many times, and also for things that they run into that we want to make sure that everybody understands that there is a ministry out there to help them," Knapp said.
Knapp added that the organization is always looking for volunteers.
