Friends and family of the Bridgeport man whose children died at their mother's home in East Haven last week held a vigil in support of the father Tuesday evening.
People from across the region have offered condolences to Michael Moore, who lost his 8-year-old son, Daaron, and 6-year-old daughter, Aleisha.
Mourners congregated at McClevy Green, where the children's father thanked supporters in an emotional gathering. The Bridgeport vigil comes after Friday's sizable gathering in East Haven.
"I was at the point where I thought there weren't any more good people out there," Moore said. "And, once again, God has proven me wrong."
A fundraising web page has been organized to Moore pay for the children's funeral.
The children's mother was in the home and was hospitalized after trying to commit suicide, according to police.
No charges have been filed as the investigation continues into how the house came to be filled with gas.
