This week's "What's Ailing You" report looks at Medicare.
Many residents say they have trouble figuring out Medicare.
Health insurance experts say getting in-home help from a nurse or other health care professional for a specific medical problem is usually covered by Medicare, but day-to-day homecare usually is not.
Another source of Medicare confusion has to do with a major change in billing codes that went into effect in October.
Doctor's offices and hospitals are scrambling to sort out a new and complex Medicare diagnosis coding system that will require providers to be more specific about each medical problem.
