State police: Norwalk man threatened Superior Court judge

State police say a Norwalk man was taken into custody for threatening to harm the Superior Court judge who signed his arrest warrant.
Police say the verbal threat was made during a phone conversation between Supple, 48, and a representative from the Judicial Call Center in Hartford.
According to the investigating officer, Supple called in upset about his recent arrest and stated he would "assassinate the judge" who signed the warrant. He then allegedly identified himself before the call was escalated to a supervisor.
The investigation led to Supple's arrest at his job, where he was charged with threatening in the second degree and breach of peace in the second degree.
Supple is being held on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
