Supply chain issues are hitting bagel shops across the city - with cream cheese supplies drying up.
At Have a Bagel in Williamsburg and all over the city, they go through thousands of pounds of cream cheese weekly.
Have a Bagel says it's been scrambling to find a new distributor. The shop tells News 12 it's now paying a dollar more per pound.
That adds up, especially when customers ordering their own cream cheese by the pound – not to mention that there's an influx of commuters and greater demand during the holiday season.
Have a Bagel says it's been honest with customers and sometimes puts less in-house spreads between bagel slices.
